Lloyd is survived by his wife Evelyn Banitt of Zumbrota sons Dayle (Vicky) Banitt of Pine Island, Craig (Julie) Banitt of Zumbrota, and Keith Banitt of Mazeppa daughters Cheryl (Raymond) Goranson of Zumbrota, Sheila (Ted) Mehrkens of Mazeppa, and Shannon Banitt of Zumbrota grandchildren Jennifer Kramer, Jeremy Banitt, Tad Banitt, Pete Banitt, Jesse Banitt, Geraud Banitt, Nicklus Goranson, Perian Kummrow, Kyle Mehrkens, Kurt Mehrkens, Casey Mehrkens, Colby Mehrkens, Ray DeWitt, and Joe Schmitz. He will be remembered as a quiet and gentle man. After retirement, he transported cars, and he and Evelyn wintered in Arizona. He loved dancing, hunting and fishing, bowling, and in retirement he pursued golf. He had many interests which he pursued enthusiastically. An active member at church, he a longtime member of the church’s cemetery board, served on the church council, and was a regular usher. Lloyd worked 36 years as a blade operator and a farmer.

On Jat Lands Lutheran Church he married Evelyn Louise Johnson. Lloyd Harry Banitt was born Februin Goodhue County, the son of Peter and Minnie (Luetke) Banitt, and he was a lifelong area resident. Banitt, 87, of Zumbrota, died Sunday Jat Zumbrota Care Center.
